The New England Psalter makes a special place for liturgical pieces and prayer compositions.

We want to encourage writers and churches to see liturgy and prayer as a creative act. If your church uses liturgy or prayer that is has written or developed, we hope you will submit for review and potential publication.

Liturgy and prayer can include original prayers, collects, litanies, responsive readings, and other liturgical texts for private or corporate worship.

Currently, all submissions and author byline should be sent to editor@newenglandpsalter.org. In the case of liturgy, we will include the church name.

Reading periods

We read in all seasons. We aim to publish two issues per year (Spring and Fall).

Response Time

We aim to respond within twelve weeks. If you haven't heard from us after fourteen, please query editor@newenglandpsalter.org.

Rights & Compensation

With respect to liturgy and prayer, we believe these are owned by the community. We only ask for a right to continue publishing online and in print but do not take any ownership rights in the work.

We are currently calling all forms of media for the theme of Exile (Fall 2026) and Homecoming (Spring 2027).
